This is the last new workout for 2016, let's finish strong! Come get it done with me...
I'm finally wearing a new workout outfit (that was kindly gifted to me by my boyfriend for Christmas, thanks babe <3) in this video. This is the final installment in the bodyweight only, 20 minutes or less, Healthy Through the Holidays series. It is a 12 minute AMRAP of:
10 candlestick burpees
10 pistol squats
20 jump lunges
10 knee hugs
Do as many rounds as you can in the 12 minutes. I felt a little on the slow side today, so try to beat me! And let me know when you do.
I made it through exactly 2.5 rounds in the 12 minutes. I was hoping I'd get through 3, but that is the goal for next time. Never stop improving and always challenge yourself. I was pushing myself as much as I could, I just didn't have it in me to do any more today. On different days your body may have different limits and that's ok. You have to go slower some days to be able to really crush it on others. Everything balances out exactly as it should in the end.
I don't really believe in making resolutions at/just before the start of a new year; for me personally I just resolve to do things at any moment that I become ready to do them. If you're ready to make a change, do it right now, don't wait. Seize the day that you feel ready, whenever that is. If the start of a new year is highly motivational for you, then please do go along with that! But find and create your own motivations and let them inspire you every day of the year. Don't just go into 2017 with wanting to undo the holiday damage, go in wanting to be better in general. And don't do it with a punishing mindset, thinking that this is what you "deserve" after your "bad behavior". Do it because you love yourself and your body and you want to further show it love by taking care of it. The greatest gift you can give to yourself is the gift of health. Stick with me, because I will be here to help you achieve and stick to all of your goals in the new year, and for many years to come. Here's to a kinder, happier, and healthier 2017!
