I really struggled with today's workout. You're not always going to be able to totally destroy a workout, but pushing yourself to get through it even when it feels really tough is what makes you stronger. Working through challenges is how we grow and change; the struggle is the most important part. You've got to keep pushing, even when it's hard. You have to just keep going, you've got to do it. The days when you really struggle and push yourself to keep going, even though it feels so hard and it feels like you want to give up, but you don't; that is where the growth and the change happens. When you push when you don't want to, you feel like you're not getting anywhere, you feel like you're not strong, you feel like you're not improving or advancing; you are, because you made the decision to push through it. You are crushing it, because if you just keep going even when it's hard, you're doing it. It's not always going to be super fun, but it's always going to be worth it. I never regret not backing down from a challenge. It may not always be pretty, but you can do anything. Never surrender! Come try this workout with me...
I could just be having an off day too, maybe you will have an easier time getting through this workout than I did. At any rate, this workout has 3 different variations of burpees, some leg targeting exercises, and a buy in and buy out. It is:
-Buy in: 50 weighted deadlifts
Then 2 rounds of:
10 burpee jump lunges
10 (alternate legs) pistol squats
10 burpee jump tucks
10 (on each leg) Bulgarian split squats
10 (5) mountain climber burpees
10 (on each leg) kettlebell suitcase squat
+buy out: 50 sumo squat pulses
This took me just over 20 minutes to complete. I hope you like it and let me know if you totally crush and beat my time, I hope you do! We're all getting stronger every day together. Keep fighting, I know I'm going to.
