This third installment in the Journey to Splits routines takes 50 minutes to complete. A little longer than usual, but worth every extra second. This routine focuses on opening up the hips and legs, and also works a bit on backbending and twisting through the abs for a really complete stretch. This felt incredible for me, and helped me to really easily get into a split. Let me know how it feels for you. Come try it with me...
These are the essentials for working out with me. For this workout I use a yoga strap for the overhead grip lord of the dance pose. If you can't get into a full split yet, you may want to place a yoga block under your front hamstrings for support, and I use 2 yoga blocks for supported corpse pose at the end. But you can manage just fine without them if you don't have them. You can use a belt that fastens securely in place of the yoga strap, and you can even use a rolled up towel or firm pillow in place of the yoga block when working on your split.
This is just one of the many yoga videos I've been posting several times a week on Patreon. Let me know how you liked this routine, and how your splits practice is progressing. I'm anxious to hear how it's working for you. Since tomorrow is International Yoga Day, maybe be on the lookout for something special sometime tomorrow ;) Be sure to follow me on instagram and facebook and of course Patreon for the most timely updates about what's going on. Also subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't already :D Once I get enough subscribers I can finally have the custom URL I so desperately long for. Help me achieve the dream! I hope you're enjoying the splits practice so far, there will be another new Journey to Splits routine on Friday.
