This seventh installment of Journey to Splits is quite challenging at times, but you get such an incredible stretch that really helps ease you into splits. It takes just over 45 minutes, let me know how it feels for you...
These are the essentials for working out with me. If you can't get into a full split yet, you may want to place a yoga block under your front hamstrings for support, and I use 2 yoga blocks for supported corpse pose at the end. But you can manage just fine without them if you don't have them. You can even use a rolled up towel or firm pillow in place of the yoga block when working on your split.

NOTE: Take it easy if you're new to practicing eagle pose. As you will see in the video, I almost fainted coming out of this pose. I chose not to edit this out because I didn't want to hide what happened and pretend I came out of it gracefully and feeling good. Yoga is challenging and you need to listen to your body and slow down when needed. I listened today. Just please always be safe. If a pose feels too intense, come out of it and rest.

Leaving for vacation with family and Jim early Sunday! So excited to get away, can't wait. There may not be a new Journey to Splits next Friday because of this. I'd hoped to be able to shoot all my extra videos in advance for this upcoming week, but I just don't have time to make Journey to Splits one of them. But I may have time to film it while we're away, we'll see how it goes! I will definitely be filming some fun extra stuff to share while we're there though, and some may even include Jim, how exciting! ;) I think it will be a lot of fun to film with different scenery and backdrops than usual. At any rate, I'll try to update again a few times throughout the week. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
