For Those Days When You Just Don't Want to Move

Today was one of those days for me, but then I thought to myself, hey, what about a kettlebell workout? When I don't feel like I can manage anything else, I can always easily talk myself into doing a kettlebell workout. It doesn't even take any convincing. This is why I maintain that a kettlebell is the best investment you can make for any kind of fitness equipment. If you can only get one thing or have a limited amount of money to spend, this is the way to go. They're so versatile, and they're truly so much fun to use that you'll be itching to have more excuses to do so. Don't believe me? Try out this workout with me...
This is a 12 minute AMRAP, as many rounds as possible, of:
20 kettlebell swings
20 goblet squats
20 side step swings
20 figure 8s
10 (on each arm) one arm swings
10 (on each arm) snatches
+ BUY OUT: 20 candlestick burpees

The side step swings are a more advanced move so if you don't feel like you can do it, don't risk hurting yourself, just do regular swings. And snatches are a very advanced exercise, do not attempt these if you've never seen them or if you haven't at least successfully worked on cleans first. You can substitute overhead presses with or without a squat for the snatches if you're more comfortable or not ready for snatches yet. Make the workout work for you. Be smart and never attempt anything that feels unsafe or that you're not ready for yet. Safety always comes first. 
I got through 2 rounds and 2 goblet squats in the 12 minutes. This workout was really fun and not too brutal, just what I needed on what could have otherwise been a lazy day. If even doing this workout seems like too much, try any of my 5 minute workouts, you have no excuse not to. You can always find 5 minutes to squeeze in a mini workout. Start there. Doing something is always better than doing nothing. ​And once you see how fun and energizing the 5 minute workouts are, you'll be ready to tackle more in no time.
