You have the strength to get through anything you set your mind to, whether it be a tough workout that really challenges your strength and endurance, or a rough patch you're going through in your life. For the former, you can definitely get through this workout with me. Stick with me, we'll do it together...
This is a bodyweight only upper body and abs workout, so anyone can do it! No equipment needed. And we're taking our time and really focusing on fully engaging the abdominal muscles through the ab exercises, so don't rush to get those done. What's the point of doing half-assed exercises? Don't be afraid to feel the burn with me! It's so much more effective that way.
This is 2 rounds of: 10 pushups 20 butt lifts 10 sumo jump squat + plank jump 1 minute plank hold 10 one leg pushup 10 (on each side) straight leg side crunch 20 jump lunges 20 bicycle crunches MODIFICATIONS: -If you can't do regular pushups (or struggle to do more than a few in a row) you can do pushups on your knees, or take short breaks after doing a few reps at a time. -If the sumo jump squat is too difficult, you can do a regular plank jump and a small hop instead. -Take a 5 second break if plank is too difficult to hold for the full minute. Hold it as long as possible though, even when it feels impossible, try to keep holding! -If the straight leg side crunches are too difficult, you can bend your knees.
It took me just over 18 minutes to get through this workout. Let me know how long it took you and how you liked it. I hope you're feeling the burn, if not tell please me that it just wasn't tough enough for you.
Saturday night boyfriend came over for dinner as usual. The meal this time was lentil sloppy joes, cashew cheese mozzarella sticks, and lemon glazed carrot cake for dessert. Everything was so good, I want to live on the mozzarella sticks. Doing a lot of cooking this week too because boyfriend's birthday is Wednesday! He'll probably be reading this though so that's really all I can say for now. Overbearing Italian girlfriend continues on her way. He deserves the fuss though, cause he's a gem. I will have another new recipe for you guys this week, plus a new yoga for the weekend, so stay tuned for those. And feel free to request anything you'd like to see more (or less) of and I'll try to make that happen! Hope you're having a great start to the week!
