This was tough, I really struggled. I couldn't even make it through the buy out at the end. Not every day is going to be the easiest or best workout, but I got through it, and that is a victory. Come try out today's with me to burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories...
This is a 12 minute TABATA workout of 3, 4-minute rounds. Each 4 minute round is 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds rest; 8 intervals of 20 seconds of work. Each exercise is done every other 20 seconds, 4 times total, to make 4 mini rounds, instead of 8 rounds of the same exercise. Sounds confusing, but just follow with me:
First Round: Jump Lunges and Jump Squats 20 seconds jump lunges 10 seconds rest 20 seconds jump squats 10 seconds rest repeat 3x, 4 total rounds, 8, 20-second intervals, 4 sets of each exercise Second Round: Kettlebell Swings and Goblet Squats 20 seconds kettlebell swings 10 seconds rest 20 seconds goblet squat 10 seconds rest repeat 3x, 4 total rounds, 8, 20-second intervals, 4 sets of each exercise Third Round: Burpees and V Ups 20 seconds competition burpees 10 seconds rest 20 seconds v ups 10 seconds rest repeat 3x, 4 total rounds, 8, 20-second intervals, 4 sets of each exercise +BUY OUT: 2 minute wall sit If this still makes no sense, check out the video below and try it with me! It's only 12 minutes, it's over so quick.
Not every day is going to be amazing, I have a lot going on right now that I'm trying to deal with and sort out and it's a struggle, But I would feel even more out of sorts and out of control if I didn't have my workouts to keep me in a healthy routine. No matter how I'm feeling, taking care of myself is always my top priority. And on some days that means different things, some days it means push myself harder, and others it means back off and allow myself room to breathe and space to relax and quiet my mind down. Taking care of yourself should always be your number 1 priority. As long as you show up and do your workouts most days of the week (it doesn't have to be all 7 days if you can't manage it, but 4-5) then you are doing yourself a great service. It doesn't have to be pretty, and it isn't always going to be easy, but still doing it in spite of that shows great dedication. Stick with me and I'll help keep you accountable, even through the hectic holiday season.
