This fifth Journey to Splits routine is more challenging than the last, but you get such an incredible, feel-good stretch in. It takes just over 45 minutes for what, I feel, is the most effective routine yet for getting you into a split. Let me know how it works for you!
These are the essentials for working out with me. For this workout I use a yoga strap for the overhead grip lord of the dance pose. If you can't get into a full split yet, you may want to place a yoga block under your front hamstrings for support, and I use 2 yoga blocks for supported corpse pose at the end. But you can manage just fine without them if you don't have them. You can use a belt that fastens securely in place of the yoga strap, and you can even use a rolled up towel or firm pillow in place of the yoga block when working on your split.

This is our fifth week working on our hip, quad, glute, and overall leg flexibility for greater ease getting into splits, how has it been going for you? Are you improving? Are these routines helping you progress further? Let me know your experience. This was incredibly invigorating for me, I hope you enjoy it too.

I'm excited to be going away on vacation with my family and Jim in just a few short weeks. I'm hoping to be able to film some special videos and workous to share with you during that time. In the meantime, I've been really enjoying my new yoga mat and how sticky it is. What a weird thing to say, usually that's so unpleasant, but it really helps me stay in poses exactly as I want to, instead of sliding out on more slippery surfaces like my rug. It's pretty cool and I only think it will continue improving my practice. It's also a really pretty design so I like looking at it :) I promise to update more soon, it's just gotten very late at night and I still need to eat dinner. Busy day! Fridays are always a whirlwind. Saturdays too really, but at least I get to be with Jim. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
