The Return of Yoga for the Weekend

This relaxing new routine takes just under an hour, come stretch it out with me. You won't regret making the time sometime this weekend...
This routine is:
3 sun salutations
warrior 1
warrior 2
warrior 3
bridge
wheel 
plough
shoulderstand
wide standing forward bend with shoulder stretch
pigeon to king pigeon
cobra to full cobra
seated forward bend
fish to extended leg fish
locust
deep squat into garland
splits
lord of the dance
one leg seated forward bend
lying spinal twist
corpse

Come unwind with me!
This workout was just what I needed. I've been so incredibly sore the last few days, I really needed a good stretch to help work out some of the kinks in my muscles. 

I also went for my first run in a while yesterday! It was only in the 30s out, and I only ran a mile, but it was totally invigorating. I loved every minute of it. My endurance was far better than I anticipated too, I thought I'd have to keep taking breaks and walk a lot of the way. To my very pleasant surprise I didn't have to stop at all. I can't wait to start incorporating a bit more running into my regular schedule. We're expecting snow off and on all weekend though, so it will be a few days before I'm able to get outside again, but I'm glad I got this one in before then at least. 

I've got to keep this post brief for today, I have a bit of cooking prep to do for tomorrow. Saturdays boyfriend comes over after work and I make dinner for us. It's very old Italian lady/housewife of me, but I enjoy it. This week we're having butternut squash ravioli and these amazing homemade vegan meatballs. I'm also trying to make vegan cannoli for dessert, so that should undoubtedly have interesting results. Right now I'm going to have salad and pizza for dinner. Rest up this weekend, cause I'll see you guys next week with brand new super intense workouts. Can't wait to get into it!
